FAQs
Here you will find answers to the questions we get most often - from how to sign up for an apartment to what is included in the rent. If you have any other questions, we are here to help. Contact us at hello@livecopenhagen.com.
Can I register my address with you?
Yes, you can register the address of your residence.
How do I apply for an apartment?
You can apply directly via this website (under “Sign up”) and we will contact you as soon as possible.
Are the apartments furnished?
No, all apartments are unfurnished, but they are equipped with built-in wardrobes.
What does the account payment cover and how much is it?
The account payment is DKK 400 per month and covers water and heating. Once a year, you receive a statement of your actual consumption, in which you either get money back or have to pay the difference. Electricity is paid separately directly to a power company of your choice. Internet is included in the rent - you just need to bring your own router.
Can I apply for housing benefit?
As a tenant at Live Copenhagen, you might be able to apply for housing support from Udbetaling Danmark via borger.dk. It is a municipal, tax-free subsidy to your rent and depends on your residence permit. The application is done digitally at borger.dk and you can also calculate a preliminary amount here.
How big a subsidy you might end up getting depends on your income, the cost of the rent and the size of your home.
Who are we?
CPHinvest is behind Live Copenhagen. You can read more about us here on the site or at cphinvest.dk.
Are pets allowed?
No, unfortunately. Pets are not allowed in the homes of Live Copenhagen.
What should I pay in deposit?
The deposit amounts to three months' rent. In addition, one month's prepaid rent must be paid, which covers your last month in the residence.
How does the rent and termination period work?
The rental period is unlimited, so you can stay as long as you want. However, when signing the lease, you commit to a minimum of six months' rent as well as a notice period of three months. If you wish to move out before the notice period expires, we will do our best to find a new tenant so that you avoid paying rent after a new resident has moved in.
Who can live in a Live Copenhagen apartment?
Our apartments are particularly suitable for young people who want to live centrally in Copenhagen - e.g. students, recent graduates or expats who need modern and centrally located accommodation.
What facilities are provided at the properties?
All properties have shared laundry facilities, a bike cellar and your very own storage room in the basement.
Attractive facilities
At Live Copenhagen you get your own private residence and oasis with everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, cooker hood and fridge/freezer and your private bathroom with separate shower. Some of the homes also feature built-in storage solutions, lofts and private outdoor spaces so you can draw fresh air without leaving your home.
But life in the city is also about sharing. In all our properties you have access to a shared laundry, a bicycle cellar and your own storage room in the basement. There is an elevator in the building, internet included in the rent and cozy communal outdoor spaces such as courtyard and roof terrace, where you as residents can meet, share everyday life and create new communities.
We build thoughtfully - both for you as a resident and for the neighbourhood we are a part of. Our ambition is to create homes that make sense and properties that contribute positively to the local environment.
